End to End Service
Design & Consultancy
Our complete range of design and consultancy services cover all aspects of the design process. We can turn your initial ideas into a workable project and then take it through the design process, analysis and evaluation until the project is fully ready for production.
Our conceptual design service delivers presentations of your ideas. We produce artist’s impressions, 2D & 3D drawings and 3D solid modelling which enable you to visualise & assess a project before it is taken through to the full design and production stages.
2-dimensional Concept Designs
Design concept drawings are tools used to illustrate a proposed project. These drawings do not contain the level of detail required for production but can form the basis for the next step in the design plan. Gravitron has extensive experience in using the latest computer software to create 2D visual representations.
3-dimensional Concept Designs
Enabling you to visualise your design ideas in 3 dimensions before moving on to full design and production, our 3D concept designs are created using the latest computer software. For a less technical rendering we also offer artist’s impressions.
Artist’s Impressions of Conceptual Designs
Artist’s impressions of your design ideas can really bring a project to life. Enhance your presentations with stunning artistic visual designs.
Design Progression
A concept design starts off being very basic. We then work the design through to a pre-production design stage. This means that we’ll work out the broad concept behind the project and any major design factors. The concept design stage is completed before work on the structural & technical aspects start.
Initial Concept Evolving
This design for a two-storey indoor go kart tack started with a very simple initial idea. Computer-generated 3D scale models enable us to work through the practicalities of the design before moving on to more detailed conceptual modelling.
Completion of Conceptual Design
After the initial modelling we work the project into a finished concept design. This can then be taken through to the next stage of detailed technical design.
After the initial conceptual design process we can take your designs through to full technical drawing level so that they are ready for production.
Conversion of 2D drawings to a 3D format
Update your existing 2D files creating versatile 3D components that can be used by designers in 3D models. This service enables designers to view products as they will appear and include your products directly in new assemblies.
Once the 3D drawings have been created we can then provide detailed analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of their design. See our Finite Element Analysis page for more information.
High Level of Technical Expertise
Created for manufacture, our full technical drawings fine-tune conceptual designs and bring the project forward in readiness for the production stage.
Rapid Prototyping
Rapid Prototyping is the latest technology for the design world. Described as 3-dimensional printing, it is an exciting way of producing a pre-production model that can be handled and evaluated for its suitability in context.
A scale or full size model can be designed and ‘printed’ within days. This revolutionary form of printing will give you a tangable, 3-dimensional mock up of your product or design concept.
Grav Engineering has in excess of 25 years experience in the design and development of electric motor and control systems. We combine creativity and inventiveness with practical knowledge of working and manufacturing processes.
Whether you are planning a new facility or installation in the leisure and entertainment industry or have a new electric vehicle in mind, let Grav Engineering creatively transform your ideas into reality.
Feasibility
Not sure if your project is possible, practical or achievable? Let Grav Engineering Design carry out a Feasibility study to assess whether it is likely to be viable, successful and to estimate the cost.
Design Review
A Design Review will answer the all important questions regarding new product ideas:
- Can it be made?
- What are the stages of design?
- How will it be made?
- What will the manufacturing process be?
- Will it be cost effective?
- Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
As part of our consultation service we can perform important material analysis. Measuring the resilience of a given product in relation to stress, strain, strength, model and temperature. This enables us to specify the best materials to meet design standards, budgets and production methods and then test them prior to manufacture.
Stresses and Strains
Our modelling software can produce graphic visual representations of the strains the specified material will undergo in a range of applications. This allows us to optimise the design and ensure fitness for purpose.
