At Gravitron we have years of experience and expertise in the field of electric motor design. We have evolved with advancements in technology and refined our design approach.
The majority of the electric motors that we now develop are of the AC induction type. We have moved to this type in preference to the traditional DC brushed electric motors as the benefits are significant.
Not having brushes means that the AC brushless electric motors experience minimal internal wear & tear and can therefore be designed with a sealed water-tight casing. This makes them very robust with low maintenance. Brushless electric motors are lighter weight than a brushed equivalent, they have good efficiency and are extremely cost-effective. Our recent developments have taken two main paths: air-cooled & water-cooled.
If you are planning a project which requires an electric motor we will assess your requirements and suggest a suitable motor or, alternatively, we can design a custom electric motor especially for your needs.
We can supply all our motors with an appropriate variable speed controller and the energy source of your choice (i.e. battery or an alternative).

RoHS/WEEE Statement of Awareness
Gravitron is committed to complying with all applicable laws and regulations, including the European Union's Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) and Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directives.
Gravitron's electric motors are produced with full understanding of obligations under the RoHS Directive. A compliance form can be issued for all motors that we supply.
Our electric motors are required to comply with the WEEE Directive and adequate instructions for disposal are provided with them.
