The Tricolo Giant Football Game!

The Tricolo football game is five a side football played with riders in a Tricolo vehicle on a 15m x 30m footprint playing area.  The vehicles are contained by an inflatable outer barrier system, with a goal mouth at either end. The football is a giant soft ball of 800mm diameter. Two teams of five Tricolos each try to push the giant ball to their end of the pitch to score a goal.

A fleet of small electrically driven vehicles (Tricolos) that can run continuously for 8 hours (10 hours actual operation time). They require recharging overnight. The Tricolos have an inflatable wrap around bumper system attached to the vehicle. It operates on a 24 volt power supply, with two permanent magnet motors driving the two large wheels. The vehicle is steered using a directional joystick. The inflatable outer barrier system is made from heavy PVC material as used in bouncy castle applications. It is kept inflated by means of electric blowers. The outer barrier system also incorporates a netted goal mouth at either end. Overall measurements of the outer barrier system are 15m x 30m. The giant ball has a diameter of 800mm.
