Oliver Welton has already experienced the excitement of electric karting when he competed in the EVN Cup in Austria in August 2001 in a Gravitron G60.

Ollie tries The Predator out for size. This electric driven speed record vehicle will be topping the 150mph when it attempts to take 6 UK and 4 International records later this year.

Pictured left is Danny Watts, tipped to be the next young Formula 1 driver, discussing the advantages of electric karting with Oliver Welton.

Danny won the first ever FR2000 race and last year partnered Kimi Raikkonen in the Falcon Motorsport Team.

Oliver is advancing his driving career by moving to Formula Ford this season.

Exhibition at Autosport

Autosport 2002 was another busy exhibition for Gravitron. The G60 electric race kart and The 135 mph electric Predator were both on show. The vehicles attracted great interest from both the trade and public visitors.

Gordon Foat of Greenmotorsport also visited the Gravitron stand to discuss a presentation to the MSA, MIA and FIA . A conference, sponsored by the DTI to investigate the future of green motor sports, is being planned to take place at the Jaguar Centre in Warwickshire. Gordon Foat and Gravitron will be presenting a joint overview of the future of green motor sport and reusable energy. Please contact Gordon Foat or Heather Latham for further details.
