Austria 2001

Currently Gravitron are in the midst of planning their trip to Austria for an alternative vehicle race meeting know as the “FIA-Solar and Electric World-Cup”.The plan is to take five electric G60 race karts to the meet along with ten team members. The trip will be spread over a week with the racing taking place on Satuday the 18th and Sunday the 19th of August 2001. Sponsored by “Ecotricity” (http://www.ecotricity.com) and “Optima Batteries” (http://www.optimabatteries.com), the team will almost certinly be the only British representatives for the cup and therefore hope to bring electric racing much closer to home with some competitors and will also have the onl female kart driver in the event.

Gravitron have taken part in the FIA wold cup for the past consecutive 4 years but before now it has simply been one driver with one kart representing the company. Now the UK hope to go in with a bang. Taking 5 karts and drivers they hope to make a intend impact and show a real British presence among the electric racing league.
